The origin
Why we built this
Across every one of those environments, I noticed the same thing: people don't want to browse. They want to be told. Attention spans are short, and the customers who converted were almost always the ones guided by someone who knew exactly what to show them. An expert with taste and context.
"The best customers weren't the ones who knew exactly what they wanted. They were the ones who trusted an expert to show them."
The idea crystallised at a New York pop-up — setting up for Mrja Collective, watching customers walk in, glance at a rail, and leave. Not because nothing interested them. Because nothing was speaking to them directly. There was no one saying: this one. This is the one for you.
That's what mukura.ai became. Not a filter. Not an algorithm that shows you more of what you've already seen. A genuine recommendation — built the way a stylist thinks, encoded so it scales.
